Jo Mints Baby!

Once in a while, Coffee Club Online is blessed with good fortune. This time around our good fortune came in a small silky smooth black box with Jo Mints stamped in silver on its surface. Jo Mints are not your average run of the mill mints. These are super fancy high octane ultra peppy mints, spiked with Guarana, a bright red berry from Amazon that contains plenty of naturally occurring caffeine.

This Guarana caffeine, as the brochure says, makes it a unique energy mint. Jill popped an assortment of four in her mouth. Moments later her third eye opened up in the centre of her head and she experienced the peculiar inability to shut up for twenty seven minutes straight, which goes a long way to verify the energy part.

The mint comes in two flavours and three varieties. You can have em in plain old super mint, Citrus flavoured super mint, or big ass super mint. The regular and citrus models come in fabulous little boxes with a silky smooth exterior and a little mirror inside. The mirror is suitable for checking to see if there are poppy seeds in your teeth, or fixing your lipstick, if you're the sort of guy that does that, just after you pop a Jo Mint to help you cover up your coffee breath. The big ass mints, which are called M-60's, come in a slight less expensive camouflage decorated cardboard carton.

Jack split the sample pack with Jill and off we went to dole out fresh breath to the masses. We let many a person sample the goods, and give us there opinions on the flavour, and the effects. What we have here is a completely unscientific experiment, so takes it anyway you likes it.

Jo Mints (regular)

These come in the black box, which was the nicest box of the three. This is the one with the silky smooth surface, and most people that saw it thought it was mighty cool. They also enjoyed the tactility, almost as much as Jack.

The mints are shaped like little pellets, but they contain concentrated peppermint so it's still a rather strong flavours. Most people enjoyed these, with only a few complaining about grit. We figure it's the Guarana , but I guess if you wants to play, you has to pay.

Jo Mints Citrus

Here we have tiny puck shaped tablets in a silver box, with redish-orange logo stamp on the front. This box is not as smooth as the black one, but it still feel nice in the hand, and does have the mirror inside.

The flavour on the other hand was a mixed bag. Jack and Jill thought the citrus flavoured mints tasted much like orange peels, and left a slightly bitter aftertaste. This one is perhaps an acquired taste, and most likely will find fans.

M-60 (big ass mint)

Here we have your military inspired carton ready for a fight on the bad breath frontlines. It has a little sliding cover with a hole big enough for the rather large rounded puck shape, when we say large, we mean a little bigger then a Tic Tak. Sometimes it's a bit hard to get the candy out though.

This ones seem to be the best balance flavour wise. Perhaps it's the extra filler to make it bigger, but overall most people found this to be the least super minty.

Jo Mint's are really kind of cool, which fits just great here at Coffee Club Online. If you want more info, you can go to www.jomints.com, where you can get more details about the product and you can order or find out where they are avaliable locally.

They seem a bit expensive for mints, but they are not ordinary mints. When you just can't stare another cup of joe in the eye, but need a quick caffeinated boost, you can turn to Jo Mints. As a bonus, you can sooth that savage breath as well. We like em, and can see these in many a pocket and hand bag.
