| 05/28/01 Man Windows sucks. I keep saying it and saying it, then I forget, then I'm reminded. Im trying to network 2 computers using the SAME version of Win98. You'd think its easy, but you'd be wrong. Networking is set up properly on both machines. Each machine works fine with the Cable Modem. Hook em together? No dice. It might be the cable. I'm using a straight thru cable for the Cable Modem, then I attach an adapter to crossover the wires to use between the computers. I'm looking into getting another short adapter cable, just in case this one is messed up somehow. I'm just imagining the head ache I'm gonna have when I try sharing the internet connection. Weeeeee! |
